Save a portion of your income by opening up a new bank account intended for keeping the money that you will need for the surgery. Charge the surgery to your personal credit cards and health care credit cards. This is not recommended, but is an option if you absolutely must. Also, verify if your surgeon has a payment/financing plan. And if all else fails, look for a personal loan. Again, not the best option, unless you have a clear payment plan. However, no matter how you finance the surgery, make sure you make the right financial decision for you, your family and your situation. Remember that you will be out of work for a few weeks, so account for how you will make an income during that time.
