Necrosis from Tummy Tuck – Risks

Necrosis, which is the death of skin, muscles, or fat, is rare. Smoking increases the risk of necrosis and discontinuing smoking once you begin to consider a tummy tuck will greatly improve your chances of avoiding necrosis. Poor circulation of blood can also cause necrosis since oxygen-rich blood may not be adequately supplied to the right tissues. During your pre-op consultation, your doctor may perform some tests that will determine if you will be prone to necrosis. If it does occur, however, wound-care specialists are very capable of taking care of the wound

Thank you for sharing with us, I think this website genuinely stands out :) Great articles about the risks of cosmetic sugery procedure. I think I will keep thinking about my tummy tuck until i can finance it..hopefully soon. Anyone know the cost of tummy tucks in NY?

You have brought up a very excellent points , thankyou for the post. I noticed a previous comment mentioned no cut tummy tuck. I want to get more information on this as well. Have searched the web but no one seems to be very detailed on no cut tummy tuck. Can you write an article on it? I hope it’s not too much to ask but I find your articles are easy to read and understand and so for me, being a layman in the medical field, I understand most of the medical terms you use. Thank you for the outline on cosmetic surgery procedures, it helps to make a decision on if I want to get cut or not….I’d prefer the no cut tummy tuck though :)
