Tummy Tuck Your Way

Are you a candidate for Tummy Tuck?

If you have a washboard stomach, then a tummy tuck is not for you. You are lucky! However, if you are like many people who have gained a lot of weight, lost a significant amount of weight, been pregnant one or more times, have had surgeries or other medical reasons that have left you with an unwanted core, have stubborn stomach fat that has persisted forever, or have accumulated excess stomach fat that may have come from the natural process of aging, then you may be a good candidate for a tummy tuck. If your abdominal skin is loose, saggy, and wrinkly with tons of stretch marks, then abdominoplasty may be for you. Naturally, exercise should be your first option, but if you have tried to control your stomach girth with diet and exercise, then you should consider consulting a surgeon.

Pretty much, if every time you look in the mirror, you see a protruding abdomen that is disproportional with the rest of your body, and it bothers you, then you should consider a tummy tuck for one simple but important reason: how you see your body will reflect how you see yourself.

Now, remember that regardless of how much your tummy bothers you, if you are not healthy, or have other medical reasons that will preclude you from a tummy tuck, a good surgeon will not recommend surgery since that would be very dangerous. Over the next few posts, we will discuss how to determine if your surgeon is legitimate and qualified enough to perform this surgical process, should you opt for a tummy tuck.
